Eirini Bogdanou was born on 1980 in Athens, Greece.

Today she lives and works in London.

She studied Painting, Set Design and Art education at Athens School of Fine Arts and MA Fine Art at Middlesex University London.

Her work can be found at ARTION Galleries (Greece, Switzerland, France, Cyprus, Lebanon).

Entrepreneurship:

Since 2007, she is co-owner of the Art Studio “Topos Ekfrasis” that was founded on 1997 in Athens, by her mother who is also an artist. There she has been teaching Visual Arts to children, teens and adults. Throughout these years she has built a great experience in teaching any kind of visual application, theory and technique, always adjusting them to the demands of every age. Along with everything else, she has designed jewelry, directed fashion shows and expos, has given interior design advisory, developed creative material for advertisements and has illustrated five books so far.

Art projects, Art Management and Educational programs:

 

-She has been an Art advisor for the Hellenic Olympic Academy (Greek Committee).

-She was assigned with the Project “Eutopia” by the Greek Ministry of Culture. She worked with a diverse group of teenagers, and their work was presented at Thoukididou street in Plaka, which was given to the group to occupy for a day, to exhibit their ideas, interact with people, and give a show with their installations and video. (June 2011).  Their thesis was also presented at the Zappeion at the annual Hellenic Architectural Conference.

-She has organized and hosted at her studio a Japanese Arts Day, in collaboration with the Japanese Embassy in Greece. 2007

- She has been co-managing the foundation of KRASS Athens, the Greek branch of the German non-profit organization “KRASS e.V.” , which is globally active and is committed to the promotion of arts education and funding for children from underprivileged social backgrounds. 2014-2015.

-Developing and conducting public art programmes for Costas Tsoclis Museum in Tinos.- 2011-2013.

-Developing and conducting public programmes for Herakleidon Museum in Athens under the umbrella of Art and Mathematics (STEM) Program of the Museum. 2015-2016.

-Planning and conducting of a 15-hour seminar of professional development for the teachers of Lampiri Private Schools, Athens, on "Visual Arts and creativity as tools for education". 2015. The seminar was approved by the Ministry of Education for further development.

-Developing and planning for the online seminar for professional development on Visual Arts for the European Union's programme "ArtS – Skills for the Creative Economy".

Club Memberships:

  • Member of the Greek Chamber for Visual Arts – since 2007.

  • Member of the Newcomers in Athens Club (a social group dedicated to helping new arrivals assimilate into Athens as well as doing rewarding work for the local community) She also offers creative activities for the members at her studio. –since 2013
